To prevent fragmented focus and capital, every resource is being redirected to SODAX - an intent-based, cross-network execution and liquidity infrastructure that already routes transactions across 18+ blockchains. While ICON pioneered interoperability standards like BTP and xCall back in 2017, today’s bottleneck is no longer settlement - it’s liquidity, user experience, and execution. SODAX is built to solve exactly that.

📅 The Shutdown Roadmap:

  • May 2026: Governance vote opens for validators to formally approve the retirement of the network.
  • September 30, 2026: Two-way token migration ends. From this point forward, swaps become one-way ($ICX -> $SODA) only.
  • December 31, 2026: ICON Network shuts down permanently (transitioning to a read-only historical archive) & final deadline to swap ICX.

💡 SODAX Milestones & Real-World Traction:

This is a bold new chapter, not a closing one. Since the rebrand, SODAX has successfully established financial rails for cryptoassets, stablecoins, and RWAs:

  • SODAX SDK v2: Shipped a leaner, agent-ready integration surface built for both human developers and AI agents (fully queryable via Builders MCP).
  • SODAX Money Market: Live for lending and borrowing. ICON's Network-Owned Liquidity has officially migrated into deeper, Solver-accessible Protocol-Owned Liquidity (POL).
  • Ecosystem Expansion: Active cross-network routing via Bound Exchange (formerly radFi) and HoudiniSwap, alongside recent acceptance into the prestigious Circle alliance.
  • CEX Support: $SODA has already been added to the Kraken listing roadmap. Remaining centralized exchanges are expected to announce automatic migration details this summer.
