The U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan has rejected the appeal of Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX. A three-judge panel upheld both his conviction on seven criminal counts of fraud and conspiracy, and his 25-year prison sentence.

Bankman-Fried’s defense team had argued that the trial judge improperly blocked evidence that could have proven his innocence. However, the appeals court found no legal errors in the original trial and affirmed the conviction and sentence.
